Painting of the Ventura-Gutek ICF House and Studio

The painting was done by Frank Meadows of Cookeville (931 526-3363 and 931 261-2363). Low VOC paint was used for the primer and both of the finished coats. Off white was selected to reflect light and show off the artwork that will be installed.
All the windows and fixtures were first covered with plastic to keep them paint free. Lee cleaned around the tub, then covered it with plastic and taped the edges with both masking tape (less expensive) and blue painter's tape.

Low VOC primer was sprayed on, then immediately smoothed with a polyester roller with a 1/2" nap. The primer was hand sanded after it dried. Then 2 more coats of paint were sprayed and rolled onto the walls and ceilings. The edges of the windows were touched up with a paint brush after the plastic was removed.
